Now she and her mother can dance away, laughing, having such fun together while exercising. They already had the first version and suggested this as her birthday present. I love giving a present that is used and not wasted and to give someone fun and an opportunity to just be together in that way. I bought this for my 10 year old grandaughter's birthday.
My mom likes to dance to the songs she's familier with. My sister and I love the fast beat songs, and we have only had it for two or three days.You get to buy songs and other stuff too.It is my favorite game of all my PS2 games.I reccomend it for everyone. This game is the best.
game is great but there is a huge jump from beginner to intermedate I wish there was something in between but over all I really like the game
I was looking for something fun that would help me get off the couch, and yeah it's pretty good for that. As you become more proficient you really do get a good work out though I think everyone has to find their own mix of workout mode and regular dance play. I haven't gotten tired of it yet. The dance mat can get a little frustrating. I enjoyed the game so much I also bought the previous title in the DDR franchise DDR SuperNova bundle so that I would have an extra mat to play with my friends and family. I really like all of the "commercial" songs, and a surprising number of the regular DDR songs, almost all of them in fact.
the dance mat sensors can also be a bit finicky. but here are some of my nit picky issues with it. within the first 2 weeks I had unlocked all of the songs, moved onto basic dance moves for all but the most difficult songs, and had started trying song on the difficult level. It hasn't arrived yet but I am eagerly awaiting it. ie there are times when I am touching the sensor and it wont register, or there is a "phantom dancer" where the sensors are sending input to the game due to wrinkles in the mat, and not where I am standing. I got this version of DDR about 3 1/2 weeks ago.
the dance mat also has a tendency to move, so that periodically I need to adjust it back to where I want it. ie if you have 2 or more people playing the game you cant tell who's high score your trying to beat. You can always go through and erase scores, but it would be nice if you could save high scores by player. I live in a humid climate, so when you dance barefoot, as the instructions recommend, sometimes the mat will stick to my feet. The high scores are not saved by player. Even with all of that I still find myself highly addicted.

We bought this for a party game but my wife quickly started using this as a workout for herself. This is much more fun than following some workout video.
