Dangerous Beauty: Original Motion Picture Score Reviews
It's amazing it has been some time since I wrote my last review for Amazon.com, and it's so great to come back with my opinion about what I think has been one of the most touching scores I've listened to ever: George Fenton's "Dangerous Beauty." This score presents us a main theme so richly Italian in nature since the setting for this movie is Venice. There is another lovely theme that showcases the impossible love between Veronica and Marco, the two protagonists of the movie; it's heartbreaking and wonderful. And let's not forget the playful tune that describes the poetry duels. This score is so full of adorable themes and melodies that it is so hard not to cry because it truly gets to your heart...if you're a romantic, that is.
I listen to soundtracks all the time and this is one of my favorites. Fenton did an excellent job. As you listen to the tracks, you can hear every word being said, and the feeling behind the words. Its an awesome track to listen to. My favorite songs are Veronicas Training, and the Second Duel.
Huge reccommendation
As I watched the movie, I was entranced with the score. I knew I had to order the CD.
If you found the music of the movie "Dangerous Beauty" at all appealing, you will definitely enjoy this soundtrack. Unlike your average movie soundtrack, each track on this CD transitions well into the next. The result is that the music does not sound chopped up; it feels almost like a seamless flowing piece. As for the music itself, well... it's just lovely. One gets swept away by the emotion of the movie all over again. Did I mention that I love the movie, too?
This soundtrack will fill your senses with beauty and emotion. The orchestration is perfect, a great way to remind you of the movie.
