Bought to use with my Canon S-90.
- Holds the charge (I've tried it more than a week after charging it and it was perfect).
- Good charge duration (can't speak in relation to the official canon one, as I have not timed both of them, but it seems like the same, I never know which one I have in there)
What more is there to know about a battery? I would definitely buy it again, no need to pay extra for "official" ones.
What more can I say; it is a battery. It charged up fast, held the charge for several weeks, then lasted as long as the battery that came with the camera. With 2 batteries, we are good to go for an entire day of very heavy picture taking and reviewing. As a matter of fact, we went out into the Everglades recently, took pictures all day long, even a few short movie clips and never had to take out this battery. Definately worth the money.
The title states the problem. I charged the battery just prior to a weekend trip. Tow days later, when I tried to take a picture, it was dead. Tried again on another, less critical occasion, and again, it didn't hold a charge overnight.
So far it has kept a charge a long time and perfectly fits the camera it is supposed to.
This is absolutely the Best Aftermarket Battery on the market (for now) anyway. The m Ah (milli - Amp Hour) far exceeds the OEM battery. The OEM battery is 1000 m-Ah and this battery is 1100 m-Ah. Therefore, you can take more photo's before you will need a charge. Recommend: Buy This battery!!!!
For the previous gentleman that bought this battery and stated that it did not fit. A quick search at canon>dot>com website and search SD790 camera. You would have seem the SD790 takes the NB-5L battery and NOT the NB-6L battery. Sorry, you bought the wrong battery.
This battery gives you the Biggest Bang for the Buck; Without having to pay high price for the OEM battery
