That being said, the biggest drawback that I found with this jacket is that it covered all of the other controls, making it difficult to use the menu, volume, and hold buttons. To get the player out, I have to push from the opposite end while pulling from the opening. The neoprene shell is strong, yet flexible, and the clear plastic window reveals the entire display plus the player control disk.
The belt clip extends over the velcro grabber in the underside of the body, thus the flap cannot attach completely without the clip being held open. The disk is fairly easily manipulated through the window. Taking all of this into consideration, the DLO Action Jacket's $30 price tag is a little too much for what you are getting. The "hold" control is especially difficult to manipulate because it's a slider. Another problem is that the case fits too tightly, making it all but impossible to separate the player by simply pulling it through the opening.
I finally wound up having to cut a slot in the case so it could be accessed. This crinkles the clear plastic window, which I fear will come off its stitches and separate from the case body in time. Let's cover the good points of this Sandisk Sansa "c" series-specific jacket first.
The DLO Action Jacket for the SanDisk Sansa c100 is a very well made product which has a snug fit and provides good cushioning and protection from dings and scratches. Still, the price seems a bit too dear to me. The Sansa controls are fully accessible while enclosed in the jacket. Nevertheless, the Jacket is well consructed and should last a long time, with care. The only fault I've found is that the jacket lacks an opening to attach the lanyard which accompanies the Sansa player. Such tiny items are a challenge to fabricate and stitch together, a fact of which I'm aware.
I would highly recommend this product. I'm very happy with my purchase. It fits perfectly and is reasonably priced.
