DLO Action Jacket for SanDisk Sansa m200 (Black) Reviews
So, I went back today and got it. It's a very nice pouch, and it wouldn't surprise me to find that the same Chinese company makes both the Verge and CTO brands.
CTO or the vendors are robbing their customers blind at the current prices. It even has an additional small pouch that can be used for earphone storage.
Then I was in Circuit City a few days ago and saw a Verge brand armband pouch that could be the twin of this one. And all for less than $8 total.
I know this is a nice case and all, and I was thinking about getting one, but the outrageously high price put me off. I left the earphone pouch off my armband since I use behind the neck headphones with my player.
This is far better than the original band and jacket that came with the player. It is very durable and still easy to use the controls with the player in the jacket.
The only bad thing I have to say about it is that I'm wearing away the spot where the lock button is. I recommend this product to anyone who is still using the plastic jacket that came with the SanDisk m200. I thought the price was a bit steep but, I'm glad I spent the extra cash.
Other than that I do recommend this jacket. All the buttons on the top and bottom of the player are protected by the neoprene, I have no problem using any other button. I've just learned to be careful when I slide the lock button. However, this product comes with an armband and I haven't used it yet.
The belt clip is more comfortable than the armband. The neoprene protects better also. Love the belt clip.
The velcro fastener looks a bit fragile, but it has held up fine so far, and would be easy to replace if it came off. Maybe I'll slice one in myself, but on the other hand, I like how protected from water the unit is now. The only time this is really annoying is when switching microSD cards in and out. Easy to deal with for your hands, though. The case covers the player's screen and buttons with clear plastic, protecting the player from scratches and, somewhat, from water(the wheel is exposed). The clip rotates 180 degrees, so it's easy to position your player and clip just how you like them. It is easy to take on and off a belt or strap, but very unlikely to fall off, because the part near your body curves up toward itself again at the end.
Of note also is that it is cut precisely to fit the volume/selection wheel, so you have to take some time to put it on just exactly right, or you'll be trying to control the wheel through the plastic, which is clumsy. That makes it catch when coming off. Once set, it's fine, but sometimes setting it can be a little fussy. The clip is very good. Very nice. Perhaps a little slot or flap there would be nice. A very nice holder, best I've seen by quite a ways.
If there is one area for opportunity, it is the security of the belt clip. It works well when you have a belt on but if you clip it on pants or shorts without a belt, there isn't adequate spring pressure to ensure that it will stay put. Works like a charm.
