But I didn't like the headset cable emerging from the "back" of the case so I finally relented and started wearing it on my left hip. This is a well-designed and well-constructed case and I highly recommend it. I liked the case but was aggravated that I had to disconnect the headset to put it into or take it out of the case. I could have saved myself $10 buying it through Amazon.com. I'm left-handed and placed this case on my right hip because that's where it intuitively belonged. Oh well.
It's just SMOP (a small matter of programmer) to get used to wearing it on the left side rather than the right. It was also not possible to access the volume control without removing the iPhone at least partially from the case. This is, of course, not the "fault" of the DLO hipcase - it's dictated by the design of the iPhone iself. It finally dawned on me after a few days that the solution to this was to place the phone in the case "upside down," or flipped head to foot. Note: I bought mine at the AT&T store when I bought my phone and paid $29.99 plus tax.
Their short (90 days) warranty suggests short life expectancy of DLO products.
I will not buy another DLO product, and nobody should never buy DLO since it will break within 3 months.

Normal wear and tear will have belt clip of this case fall off in 2 months of use.
However, it doesnt' matter since it is not covered anyway since it's normal to have belt clip fall off.
It is normal, and it is not covered by warranty.
According to DLO customer service it is normal wear and tear to have DLO product go bad within 3 months.
I am waiting for a letter back from DLO stating that it is normal so I can publish online.

Velcro instead of magnets. I try several, and this one was the best. Could have a better and safer belt clip, but it does the job.
PERFECT FOR THE APPLE 3G.AT 2/3RDS LESS THAT AT A APPLE RETAILER SELLING THE EXACT SAME PRODUCT. YOU'LL NEVER BEAT THE PRICE AT A LOCAL STORE, GREAT QUALITY AND REALLY INEXPENSIVE.
Also, I'm note sure which way the iPhone is supposed to face. Towards you it rubs against an outside pocket; away from you the glass is partially exposed. It's so tight that I'm scared it might damage the case. I bought it because I wear a suit and tie every day and velcro or plastic wouldn't cut it. I paid ten bucks more at the AT&T store. I really have to push to get the iPhone 3g in the case. I should have checked here first especially since I have Amazon Prime.
