At last! a portable CD radio player that performs as it should... and I've suffered through several others.
Sound is good (and better with Bose over-the-ear earphones since I am otherwise bothered by outside traffic noise). CD seems lasting. One caveat: the radio tuner dial is a bit stiff to manipulate, and one must dial it sensitively to find the right station. Otherwise, just what I needed!
I really like this little radio. I bought it mainly for my mother who is a stroke victim. She listens to the local radio station for the news and chit-chat. The CD is a bonus so she can hear her favorite Sinatra tunes. We also needed a battery powered radio for emergency power outages. Good service. Over all a good purchase. Thank you.
This radio is well worth what I paid. I didn't think to check on cord storage when I made the purchase. This style doesn't have cord storage and the cord has already come up missing once. The cord detaches easily.
I am a low tech person. I tried mp3 players but they are too complicated for me. This radio is easy to use even when I wake up at night. I like to listen to cd's to help me fall back to sleep. I dropped it once but it still played great. It does use up batteries quickly but I find that with any boom box I have used. The price is low and it small and easy to use.
I bought this for my wife who listens to audio books from the library.
It has great sound quality. The only negative is that when the system is turned off
and then turned back on, it starts from the begining of the disc and not where it was stopped.
Otherwise, she loves it.
