The printer as a hardware device seems OK, but the software is sub par. It is only suited for tractor feed paper. It accepts single sheet feeds only and not stacks and this is not realistically implemented on the printer. Networking is problematic and required the services of a computer technician who struggled for four hours to get it working. Also, in a mixed Mac-PC environment, it makes what is already a difficult situation, even more difficult to implement if you want one printer for the network. The info was not clear as to the limitations of this printer.
1.0. Though the Amazon product description for this printer lists compatibility with OS X, be aware that according to Epson tech support, that compatibility is limited to OS X version 1.0 only. Again according to Epson tech support, there are no plans to offer a printer driver for any OS X version beyond ver. It will not work with any subsequent version (as this is being written the current OS X version is 10.4.9).
