Epson Stylus Photo 960 Inkjet Printer Reviews

I was really disappointed in the quality of the machine. The pump went bad about a day after the warranty expired. I cant say not to buy it, but it just irks me that everything made these days seems to be disposable. This printer had so many problems so quickly. Had some other minor problems too. I love the output of Epson products.

printing black. Thats the good news. that they are empty. back falsely that they are empty. Bad news is the ink cartridges,. I am looking at two cartidges here which you.

through the entire Epson line of printers. Yes its that bad. I buy Epson again. dry out on their own as well as report. If they are empty the. printer will not work even if you are.

which are very expensive, seem to. that I can not recommend Epson nor will. can see ink inside but are reporting. This problem is so serious and reoccurs. This printer prints very well.

The ink cartridges are almost impossible to obtain, and are very high priced.

Registration is haphazard. The cartridges are insanely expensive as well and they don't last long. I have almost always bought Epson printers for use with my Mac because I felt that the quality of the prints were great when the printer worked properly. Epson just doesn't have the bugs worked out on this one. First and formost with the 960 is the fact that local stores do not carry ink cartridges for it and when the printer runs out of ink, it won't print. Also, the printer drivers don't get updated soon enough to keep up with Macintosh OS upgrades. In this regard, Epson forces you to keep a big stock of cartridges so you don't get stuck. I might add that printing on CDs and DVDs is a hit and miss affair.

This is problematic when all you want to print is a fax that uses only black ink but because your Light Cyan cartridge is out you can't print anything. Impossible.

After reading other people's comments on Epson products, I'm considering moving to another brand of printer. The problems are unfortunately, numerous.

Epson printers are just too high maintenence. And try printing on the silver printable discs.

Epson software also often conflicts with just about everything from scanners to Photoshop to MS Word.

The ink just bleeds. And the ink sometimes "wrinkles up" on the white printable discs when it dries.

Enjoy. I've had this printer for over a year and have had no problems at all. I bought this printer when I started doing digital photography artwork. The replacement ink is not available at my local stores, so you'll have to order online. The quality is EXCELLENT, absolutely stunning. I am ecstatic with the quality. That's the only downside I can think of with this great printer.
