But they all seem to have visible lines, and sometimes even just random spots and other imperfections. Cleaning doesn't seem to make a difference. It does scan well. I'm not sure what the deal is but I think the prints kind of suck, which is too bad because we were exited when we bought it.
I have been happy with the purchase. I mostly bought this printer because of the individual color ink tanks on it. Not a huge deal and I would still have gotten the printer even knowing that. I print mostly black text, but every once in a while I need a picture printed. The only thing that I noticed about this printer compared to the HP is that it just seems a little slow to que up the print job.
I print everything on plain paper and have been happy with the turn out. MJ. I rarely need photo quality, so I cannot say how good this is for that. I only gave it 4 stars because I have not used the scanner yet.
It just seems to take a few seconds longer than the HP. After a long line of HP printers, I decided to switch gears this time and settled on the Epson.
It is a decent scanner (does a good job) and a decent copier (some of the copies are light but that can be changed using the menuto make them darker). The photos were outstandingbetter than the drugstore photos I printed before. It had been 3 years since we had purchased a printer and after much research we bought this one. We have had it for 4 months and use it pretty heavily and we are just now getting low on some of the inks so it is good with the inks (regardless of what others say). I was impressed from the minute I put our CF camera card in it and printed pictures on 4X6 photo paper. I really love this printer and love being able to print quality photos to send to family.
It's an excellent machine, especially for the price. Printing CD's is easy and accurate. I've had this printer only for a couple of weeks, but it's doing everything I ask of it.
Its OK for the price. So far the only complaint is the noise. Prints very nice. This is not a quite printer, from the paper grabber through the maintainanc cycle. Lack of proper insructions for the use of the DVD & CD printer.
