Epson Stylus Photo RX680 Photo All-in-One Printer Reviews
It makes me think twice on paying in excess of $100 for a set of Epson microchipped ink cartridges that could be faulty. "Error: Ink cartridges cannot be recognized." Multiple attempts of re-seating the cartridges, dry-wiping the metal contacts (both on the cartridges and on the printer), shaking the cartridges, and power-cycling the printer still did not make the error go away. to be more exact, the microchip on each Epson cartridge). It's ridiculous for an Epson printer not to recognize its own ink cartridges (i.e. It's ironic that the "premium" (i.e.my money) that goes to the Epson microchips brought about this very unsatisfying user experience. 2 of the 6 ink cartridges that came with the RX680 printer could not be recognized.
This printer has multi-function. And it has a great black, sleek look - looks great in my office. Good, quality machine. It's a regular color/bw printer, as well as a scanner. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it. And it prints beautifully directly onto a CD, which is what I was looking for.
I own this AIO printer for quite a few months now. Use it a lot for photo printing. Love my RX-680 and recomend it to everyone. Pix quality is out of this world when done on Epson 5 star photopaper.
I was nervous about sending away for it because of the reviews I had read here. Luckily, I had no problems at all. I think the photos are fantastic and I do not use Epson paper. I print a lot and I think the ink lasts a long time. I switched to an HP after 2 Epson printers and I don't remember why.
I bought it direct from Epson and I've used it for over 6 months. I do know that after 2 days of use, I returned the HP and bought this. I use Kodak paper for photos and I have had no problems. I highly recommend this printer to anyone who wants great photo prints and who wants a printer for general everyday use. This is my 3rd Epson printer and I think it is the best yet.
I haven't printed from my memory card or a cd yet, but I dont forsee any troubles there. Second printer works like a charm. Scanning, Copying and Printing all awsome quality. I would reccomend this printer to anyone. The first printer ordered had an interna hardware issue that could not be fixed. After contacting Epson I was sent a new one straight from them at no charge.
