Epson Stylus R220 Photo Printer Reviews
even when just printing a black text on on like a word document. The photos aren't worth the money you spend on the paper you print it on. To keep Prices low.Still not worth it (due to the High Ink Refill Price for such a tiny in Cartridge). For Prices on Refills go to. I really Hope This helps Everyone with their decision on purchasing a new Printer. I own one I got it for Free when I bought My Camera.Yeah. In Addition, *ALWAYS CHECK HOW MUCH IT COSTS TO BUY THE INK CARTRIDGES.*.
To get your better performance, this is not it. Yeah. Plus it is SOOOOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW. To refill all the colors PLUS just 1 black. I shouldn't complain for gettting it for free.BUT I want to warn the people who will have to actually PAY for this. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/BuyInkResults.jsp.BV_UseBVCookie=yes&sku=C11C626011&ref=BID.
It may have good features, BUT it doesn't do anything very well.
so please reader : DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT OR YOU WILL END UP AS ANOTHER DISSAPOINTED CUSTOMER AT THE END OF THIS LIST. and no print: indicating empty cartridges that are still full. Installed later with white products cartridges : problems. colors are not correct at all blue prints up as pink etc.cartridges are bloody expensive , chipped and after countdown of 14.000 jets giving indication still 9% full , but refuses to print anything.cleaning of heads is a nightmare that never comes true, only waisting and draining your bloody expensive cartridges.
Inbuilt selfdestructive Epson technologie. no printing anymore , I used this thing for sometimes a cd or dvd print, that's what it innitianally was bought for.CD tray misalignes 5 out of 10 times , so keeping you busy trying to get a good cd print and using your costly time. lost all my money and my time on this LEMON. YOU ARE WARNED. How can you get away with that.
Hope I saved you a lot of trouble and bad days. EPSON R220 Less then one year , first set of cartridges runs out on one color (so called ) absolutly not empty yet but. printhead clogs up regularly after one week of no print.you cannot clean the things yourself like my HP printer ( I suck the ink through with a wet seringe and they print perfect again, even after refilling the same HP cartridge for a dozen times at least) More : ink is washed away with water , sweat or humidity. pure rubbish. A pitty I cannot give it ZERO rating.
Benjamin in Belgium. resetting programs don't work , no recognizeing of chips or other failures. don't neglect the meaning of so many buyers that are let down by this Epson thing and all by the same programmed reasons.
I kept rcycling the printer on and off about a dozen times, doing a page eject each time and the paper jam error disappeared only to be replaced by the infamous 2 flashing lights problem. I have bought my last Epson printer and will probably replace it with a Canon product. On the third set of cartridges I kept getting an error message saying there was a paper jam when there was not. I started having problems with this printer before I got through even the first set of ink cartridges. I downloaded a program to reset this error code but it did not help. The nozzles were getting clogged almost every time I used it and I had to go through numerous cleaning cycles. I did some research on the internet and found this was a common problem.
Two hours of frustration, and now my friend will not receive the gift. Avoid it. Useless. Late at night trying to print a DVD label for a gift for a friend flying to Europe in the morning. People at Epson should be prosecuted. Epson has cost me hours in frustration and wasted time. Here's the scenario. This product will wreck your productivity and frustrate you.
Now it won't print AT ALL, because it does not print if even only one color has run out. Just loaded new black ink cartridge that had run empty - Epson cartridge, not a knock-off. It uses other colors even while printing in black and white only. Other colors are low but show 10%. Repeated attempts to print, but no black ink coming out, even though the maintenance utility shows a full cartridge. As I try repeatedly to print just in black and white, another color runs out. Add to that the hours of desiging the DVD cover all wasted. Use Epson's on-line troublshooter; no options for my scenario.
I understand the razor/razor blade model, but EPSON redefines extortion with their printer. I have never written a product review before, but was motivated by this awful product. please someone from the Justice Dept needs to read this and not let EPSON get away with extortion. First, if any color is out, the printer will not print, a set of genuine EPSON cartridges are 70 dollars and the printer will not let you use non-EPSON ink.
