It has four levels for a longer play time and you can customize your horse and rider which makes for a unique experience that is yours alone.
This game was great.
However it has a multiplayer setting where you can play with up to three players + you.
The cross country setting is beautiful, and the show jumping is very fun.
The only two places that this game falls short in is the dressage, which is boring, and that you cannot free ride.
A must have to anyone's horse game collection.
Lots of fun and great graphics (The best I've seen).

It seems a bit confusing at first but after your first time around a course you feel completely at home. You also get to take care of your horse in the pasture by feeding, watering, brushing, washing, and giving treats to it. Everything looks 100% real. You use the W,A,D, and S keys to speed up, slow down, and steer. Lucinda Green is there for you the whole time, instructing you, giving you tips and reminders, as well as congradulating you on your accomplishments. You start out with one horse, but as you rise in the ranks, you can have up to 6 different horses at a time. From your hair color & tone all the way down to your horses leg and face markings.
This is the best horse game I have ever played and i only got it yesterday. Lucinda explains everything to you, as well as the manual, so there is no confusion. That says alot. Wow. I got this game yesterday and I've been playing it non-stop. It is a blast. This game is SO much fun, I would reccomend it to anyone.
First off, you get to completely design you and your horse. You practice and compete in Cross Country, Dressage, and Show Jumping at 2 Star, 3 Star, and 4 Star level. The only thing that is a bit different about it is that you don't use the mouse or arrow keys to 'ride'. Oh yes, and the grafics and SOOO beautiful. Except in dressage, then you use the arrow keys. She only lets you move on when she is sure that you know exactly what you're doing.
The high jumps are so much fun. It is not much fun to play with if you are not very good with the keys. This cd is very fun. You get to care for your horse too.
This cd is great. The dressage is so fun to watch. Also, when moving the horse, to go left and right and up and down, you can't use arrow keys.
The higher the level, the harder it gets. You get to pick your outfit, horse color and height(which is rare in most horse games). You also go through training, which is very fun.
The cross country is the hardest of the three. But the graphics are great and there is a lot to do. My friends and I have been playing it almost non-stop since I got it yesterday. It is just totally awesome. I love this game. We have done dressage, cross country and show jumping. It's challenging the name says it all.
The events are just right, not so hard it takes you forever to get through them, but not so easy that you're done with them in a few days. You ride in 2-star, 3-star, and 4-star events that get progressivly harder. Even with the problem, the game is still very fun and I reccomend you get it. Without these points you can not win the harder events. That is why I gave it four stars for the overall rating. As you win different events you unlock things that make the care of your horse easier.
it would be more fun if you had a lot of horses to ride in the harder events. A problem with the game is that when unlock more horses as you progress though the game they don't have devolpment-points which you get as you go on to harder levels. Once you finish events you earn developement-points that make your horse perform better. Though a large part of the game is riding, you also take care of your horse by feeding, watering, brushing and making your horse happy. Equestrain challenge is a great game. When you get new horses they don't have these points.so you can't compete in the harder events with them.
