The only time it will be wrong is if it is low in battery or if the clock is broken. I have not change the battery for over a year now. - Shows the month and date as well as day. - Contrast between the display and the background is poor. Pros:. - Atomic clock is self-adjusting and self-correcting. - Battery last for a long time.
Room for Improvement:. - Shows temperature inside the house. - Large digital display is much easier to read. - Limited viewing angle
They were mounted inside on the window frame to indicate the incoming air temp. Both units failed in less than 6 months. I purchased these clocks for their thermometers. If the incoming air went above 75 degrees, I switched to A/C. I added an LM555 timer; so, they only beep once every 2 minutes. I replaced them with Sonalerts, attached to thermostats.
This is my third Sky Scan clock. I like having the indoor temperature displayed as well. I needed a clock at work and was delighted to find that Sky Scan clocks are still available. All the numbers are large and easy to read at a glance. The others are working fine. The clock sets itself - a real plus if it is in a hard-to-reach spot - and is easy to read from a distance.
I set all of my clocks and watches by it. It is easy to read across the room and I use the day and date features all of the time. It is the best clock I've ever owned. My VCR taping has improved immensely since I have the time set "perfectly" now. This atomic clock is a great item. I like checking the temperature also.
THE EASE OF USE IS FAR SUPERIOR TO OTHER ATOMIC CLOCKS. I CAN'T IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT A SKY SCAN. WE NOW HAVE 4 OF THESE CLOCKS IN OUR HOUSE, GARAGE AND GRANNY FLAT. IN MY OPINION THIS IS THE BEST ATOMIC CLOCK EVER MADE.
