ESPN NBA Basketball 2k4 Reviews

I didnt like the announcers were not very accurate, one example would be when I'd do a dunk from a player like "the admiral" (who by the way led the league in dunks one season) the announcers would say "He's normally not a dunker" or "you wont see that often from the admiral" give me a break. this game was a shoul've could've would've.

They should've made the pace of the game work according to that particular players strengh.

Here are a couple of areas where this game was lacking. another thing I didnt like from this game is the all star line ups.

The players movement was another problem, a lot times you would try to shoot or get a rebound and the player would not respond. This game is ok, it's nothing more nothing less.

You have 4 standard offenses and it. sometimes turns the game into one on one trying to beat. like it was a good accomplishment. steals and even double teams and such.

Sorry, some people like more than 4 lousy. good detailed players. up and down the court depending on what you have the. When facing the computer on harder. they're contracts is up. of things. WHY.

You. -Good legends teams. Speaking of the franchise mode, it's fairly good on. plays. putting the control down. Depending on which team. can adjust everything from the shoot percentages to the. as two turnovers instead of one.

thing I don't like is that you can't re-sign FA's until. The players move. mode. One on one, Two on Two, no turbo and all kinds.

to lead to lower scoring games or go full blast to turn. Cons:. The one thing that bothers me is the. -Post game is mediocre. -If the computer steals the ball from you it counts. addition.

Another thing that gets on my nerves is that. You go around courts play different kind of. annoying. I got this game last christmas and I've had trouble. options on this game. One. A big problem is the contracts. -Decent one on one mode.

The new 24/7 mode is a good. it closer to arcade. -Lots of options. -Can't adjust the Bobcats team in any way.

games. The other modes are pretty much run of the mill. I've always liked the sliders but. better than the standard EASY, MEDIUM, HARD stuff. the big cap they have. able to operate it. But once you have finished it you will feel.

You can slow the players down which tends. your man. The graphics are pretty decent. here.

feels like it was dumbed down for the bandwagon fans to be. But there are alot of. It does at times get alittle repetitive and. options set on. Pros:. -Can't re-sign players before contracts are up.

I don't think you can even pick the franchise in franchise. That really gets on my nerves. levels the lack of plays makes it alittle together and. I choose the Lakers do to. lack of runable plays.

you can't make adjustments to the Bobcats roster. -Lack of plays. -NBA draft workout thing is cool. -24/7 Mode. -Iso Motion.

24/7 mode my friend.24/7 mode allows you to create a street basketball player from birth. If you are a true basketball fan this is the game for you. No joke.your player has no skill whatsoever. The gameplay is trully spectacular.

Before you go around the world and play on the most famous street courts(Greece, Japan, New York City and many more)against NBA players and legends. Oh, did I mention that you can take your created player on XBOX LIVE and have deadly one on one matches to 21 against other XBOX LIVE players, with your custom soundtrack playing(I like to listen to BIG Punisher). Why is ESPN NBA Basketball 2K4 the best basketball game ever. Unlike other basketball titles(NBA Live 2004) you have to actually call plays to score. Not hold the turbo button untill you get close to the rim and dunk.

The defensive and offensive play calling in this game is on another level. Xbox Live & the 24/7 mode takes this game to the history books of basketball games. Out of all the basketball games that came out, this one definitely has the best graphics.

That is how challenging it is. I've had this game for almost a year and I still haven't maxed out my player. The customization in this game is so deep that your player will look like nobody else's created player.

Every year these dudes at Sega get better and better. I've been a fan of the 2K series since Dreamcast and let me say this is the best one yet. I suggest you go through training.

Tim Duncan)it works ok, but with others, you will be called for charging almost every time you use it. This is great help when your opponent is running a fast break or when he's blown by you and is taking it to the rim. This is great fun when executed properly.Overall, the ESPN is a very good game, but it just seems a bit more clunky and limited than the Electronic Arts NBA Live 2004 game. With ESPN, 3 out of 4 times when I use the "iso-motion" stick i get called for charging. Also, the freestyle stick in the EA game is much more functional. The ESPN only has one shoot button, whereas the EA game's 2 buttons allows you to shoot a jumper or go for a dunk. the "last man back" button 2. I've played the EA game on my brother's Playstation 2 and found the game-play to be a LOT more fun and dramatic.

Another thing I like about the EA game is that the camera gets in closer to the action. With certain players (i.e. (And the music is better).2 other reasons why I prefer the EA game: 1.

the "alley oop" buttonThe first button allows you to quickly choose your player (defender) who is the furthest back. You can tap the button and you are ready to defend. The second button allows you to throw an alley-oop pass when one of your players is in the vicinity of the hoop. So my recommendation: pass up this ESPN game and spend your cash on the Electronic Arts ball game.

With the ESPN game I don't feel as involved in the action.I also prefer the audio on the EA game. The commentators are more verbose and excited. I just got my Xbox and this ESPN basketball game a few days ago, and although it's pretty fun, I have to say that it's not quite as good as the EA NBA Live 2004 game.
