N. It does almost everything perfectly. Amazing indeed. Ever since Super Nintendo's EA Sports NHL '94 game, I have never found a hockey game that quite cuts it. From bad goalies that are too predictable and make bonehead decisions to physics that are completely unrealistic, I've seen it all, most notably in EA Sports' follow-up for the PC (NHL 2003, etc). Most notably, the goalies are realistic, the gameplay is intense, and the graphics are smooth. Then rolled ESPN's NHL Hockey down the alley of incomplete hockey games like a grenade.
u also have a house, and as u play more u unlock more games and trophies which can be very fun. i was amazed at how bad this fighting was after just playing nhl 2004. if ur a hard core hockey fan, get nhl 2004. u can also unlock teams from the past and their jerseys. plus, wen u score , it is usually in the same way. also, this game has the worst fighting EVER.
if u wanna hang around and play a good video game, this is the game 4 u.but if u want a style like as u c on tv, not one u can have as much fun with , dont get this game. its just 2 people standing next 2 each other looking like they are trying 2 grab the air, and missing.it is the funnest game 2 fight in, but the fighting in nhl 2004 actually looks like a real fight. if ur a person looking 4 a fun hockey game 2 play, then get this. its HORRIBLE.i gave this game 4 stars because of the gameplay, but not 5 because the realism in some parts is terrible. also, u rarely get a shot off with ur defensman at the point. this game is very fun 2 play.out of all the hockey games from this year, this game is the most realistic. the good - the gameplay is very fun and exciting.
they players look odd wen u skate with them, as if they were sticks. also, wen u turn, they dont curve they just switch directions immediatly, which looks very odd. also, they have a mode where u do the super skills competition, as they do on all-star saturday. its not a fight. plus, the players look realisiticthe bad - the comentaters can be good usually, but they repeat phrases 2 many times. the commentators r usually good, 2.

ce jeu comporte certaines erreurs de programmation pour ce que est du jeu en ligne.
en general ce jeu est quand meme bien fait et parfois amusant mais il y a rien de bien neuf dans le monde du hockey , ce jeu ressemble a pas mal de jeu que j ai deja vu et n apporte pas grand chose de neuf.
l option xbox live semble bien mais le hic c est que les statistiques ne sont pas compilees correctement par xbox live , lorsque l on perd la connection a une partie , l on se vois parfois credite d une defaite.
j ai parfois eut aussi des problemes avec le jeu comme parfois il gele meme en mode 1 joueur.
les graphiques pourraient etre mieux , j ai joue a nhl 2002 sur dreamcast et gamecube et je les prefere a cette version de xbox.
je ne le recommanderais pas.
At the beginning oft he year when I was deciding which hockey title to buy (choices were NHL 2004 & ESPN Hockey) I regrettably bought NHL 2004. My dream was to one day experienced a hockey game like this. I mean this is reality hockey at your finger tips. If you are still deciding which one hockey title to buy, take it from someone who has both of them. Then after countless awesome reviews on this game it made me get this game as well.
BUY ESPN HOCKEY 2K4. I actually have to shake my head to realize whether I'm watching a real game or playing one. A week ago I bought it and it blew my head away. Even though I did find one or two flaws, like the fights seem too unemotional, and no post game celebrations, overall the feel of this game is superb. Everything from the commentators to the sounds of the ice, this stuff is real.
and when i got the game it was the best game i had ever experinced with the yells of the crowd and the boom of the hockey sticks Every thing is good about this game.So if you are a real catious shopper and are looking for the best hockey game GET ESPN NHL but nhl 2004 did the fighting terribly. I usually dont like hockey games but when i read the reviews of NHL 2004 and ESPN NHL ESPN sounded way way better than nhl 2004.EVEN though espn nhl didnt have any fighting.
