Extreme G3 Racing
Extreme G3 is a gravity-defying racing game. After climbing onto one of 12 supercharged, fully armed bikes and engaging your protective shield, you're off on an extreme racing challenge. Race underwater, beneath the earth's surface, through cratered canyons, and out into space as you play through Extreme G3's nine racing circuits. The game's two-player split-screen modes include Team Grand Prix, Head-to-Head, and Co-op. This game also sports a landscape animator that renders course environments in a graphically detailed, futuristic style that's visually compelling.

Extreme G3 Racing Reviews
Love this game a lot. Just had to replace it because the old one got scratched up.
If you were disapointed in wipeout fusion (like most of us were), this game will make up for it. If you liked the wipeout and wipeout xl games, get this game. Its a must have, really. The racing is intense. The weapons are awesome.
I suggest you rent it if you want to see how it is. The game made me bored fast.
You can win with or without them they are just to play with. I'm sure they do, but you just can't tell. The single most annoying feature, however, and the one that no one has mentioned, and that would prevent me from recommending buying this game: getting stuck on the walls. There is some weird thing; if you get near the edge of the track, you get magnetized to the wall and it takes a second to get off it. The rear-firing ones don't seem to do anything either. I'm annoyed by the League system because you have to play the same courses over and over, just with different engines. The weapons also annoy me because they don't really help much, in the ultimate sense. I think the graphics in Extreme G3 are pretty amazing, and there isn't much slowdown.
The hint comes at the back of the manual where it says you have to "feather" the turbo. If you always wanted a PS2 upgrade for your copy of Wipeout but don't want to blow 50 bucks for Wipeout Fusion, XG3 is pretty good. Turns out it means repeatedly pumping it and releasing it to get more out of your turbo. Machine gun, heat seeking missiles, rockets, shield enhancers, mines,.Cons:You have to earn $ to be able to get different weapons. Should probably reconfig the turbo and. That was the only way I could catch up with the computer controlled drivers.Music in Wipeout is much much better. It's difficult to tell whether your weapons really helped. What does that mean.
XG3 is very very similar to Wipeout.Pros:Good graphics compared to PS1 Wipeout. Not in XG3. I haven't tried Wipeout Fusion from PS2 yet but the reviews seemed to indicate that there has been little new so I decided to try this game instead- especially now that it has hit the bargain bins in most stores. deploy the mines and expect to hear some kind of explosion like in Wipeout. Wipeout lets you use them as you find them. Not sure how choosing different bikers makes any difference. Some biker-techno-term. E.g. I think there is a sound but I'm not sure if it's an impact explosion.Overall, it is a solid Wipeout clone.
(no surprise here). The manual does not say much and there is no obvious sense of it in the game.It took me quite a bit of effort to win race 2. gas controls right away to use the shoulder buttons.Weapons are very very similar to wipeout. Frame rates are very high so driving thru the more advanced tracks is quite exhilirating, once you've bought a new engine. The tracks are quite nice but I don't think you get much of a chance to enjoy the art work otherwise you'll find yourself grinding against the side of the track. You get to keep the weapons that you buy rather than use it for a short period of time.Controls are responsive. I've played Wipeout since PS1.
