EZ Commander - Trackball PC Remote & Presenter Reviews
As much as I wanted to like this remote, I really didn't. - The keys are laid out oddly. If the remote vibrates a little bit, the mouse cursor reappears. I expected this to last longer than a month, though. - No programmable keys. - The keys aren't backlit. The play button is tiny, etc. Here's why:.
Trackballs also pick up dirt, and moving parts tend to break over time. My home theater uses a projector, so the room is dark, and it's hard to find the right keys to hit. But the thing was, I felt a little relieved that I had to replace it. This would be a much better remote with a trackpad instead of a trackball. On the plus side, it does fit the hand well, and the trackball is pretty easy to move with your thumb.
It's too bad I didn't keep the packaging. Forget trying to turn on or off your TV with this remote. After owning this for a few weeks, the trackball broke - I could only move the mouse on the X axis. - A trackball isn't optimal for a HTPC remote. The right button, for example, is stacked on top of the left button.
I can use it to open as many materials as I want at the presentation, and control them easily at the same time with the pre-defined hot keys. I found the EZ Commander when I was looking for a presenter to use with my laptop. I strongly recommend this product to the buyers of presenters This makes my presentation so impressed to my audience. At first, I was skeptical about what those buttons can do for the presentation. Not like other presenters that only defined for the PowerPoint, EZ Commander does give you the freedom to arrange your conference or trade show the way you want it to be. But with the great price and all in one features, I decided to give it a try, and this device really surprise me, a lot.
I have to say, this is one of the coolest gadgets I have for my entertainment system. I plug my TV into my laptop as its external monitor. This thing works really well. Then I use the EZ Commander here to browse the internet, and most specifically watch netflix and youtube from my tv, old school style. I plug my laptop's sound out into my surround sound system. I was surprised actually. I didn't expect it to be so ergonomic like.
However, I have never found a remote which is right to me until this EZ Commander. Another good thing is this remote can control everything on my desktop, from standard Microsoft utilities to those popular software by third parties. I never thought of using the remote for text input, but sometimes the T9 alike typing for the search keywords seems fun to me when I lie in my couch browsing the web. One thing missing with this remote is the lighting which would be great for my late night surfing. I like the trackball mouse idea, simple but functional, that finally makes "My Internet" work. I like the idea of HTPC ever since Microsoft released its Media Center in 2005.
Turnng your pc into a TV, that connects you to an internet.COOOOL. No cables, no mouse and no keyboard. (Thank you EZCommander). Its really a good product to use while relaxing on your sofa. [.].
