Fellowes WIRELESS KEYBOARD USB BLACK ( 59493 ) Reviews
So this led me to buying the current Fellowes keyboard I have from Amazon. Fellowes WIRELESS KEYBOARD USB BLACK ( 59493 ). This keyboard has been an Amazing Godsend to me. This has way more features then either of my other two keyboards did plus it has an ergonomic attachable wrist rest which is the perfect height.
Microsoft did not honor the warranty so I would never buy this product from them again. Also there are no problems when the batteries die and putting in new ones the unit still works which is the way these products are supposed to be designed. I have had & used two other wireless keyboards.
I had no problems connecting this or installing the software. I called there helpdesk and was connected to someone in some foreign country who barely could speak English who was rude and insolent to me and they did not honor the warranty either. 1st a Microsoft which croaked after the batteries died and when I replaced them and reset it both the keyboard and mouse no longer worked. I replaced the batteries in keyboard and reset it and again it no longer worked.
Next I purchased a more expensive Logitech Wireless Keyboard and Mouse which again worked until the batteries died.
i cant tell if i have num lock on or off, kinda sucks. i just received mine today. also, the constant flickering of the receiver is very annoying and none of the lights on the keyboard come on.
If your needs are simple like mine and you just want a cordless keyboard that will let you control you computer from afar, this is perfect. I hate when you have to program what a button will do and I hate keyboards with all kinds of unnecessary lights and I really hate overly-sensitive keys that enter whenever you barely brush over or lightly press them. The price can't be beat, a great buy. The setup was easy, there aren't too many special keys, the key response is not to sensitive or too clunky and you don't have to assign special functions to the top row of control keys, they just do what they're supposed to do.
I really like this setup for web browsing from the couch or recliner. First off, this is just like a desktop keyboard, which is just what I needed. This one, the Fellowes, only needs 2, so a plus for the environment. I like how you get to buy this keyboard independently of a mouse, so you get to choose your mouse yourself. OK I just plugged it in and it works perfectly without the included device driver, which I'm getting ready to install in a minute. All the keys are in the exact same familiar location. Fellowes pretty much hit the nail on the head with this wireless keyboard, and I give it my highest score, 5 stars.
Now, I can work wirelessly, and have my arrow keys, home, end, pageup, pagedown, and a full number pad, just like when I'm on my desktop. My old Microsoft wireless keyboard used 4 AA batteries. It has a soft clicking noise, not too loud, and not too hard for my fingers to press down. I use a Logitech laser mouse, the V450, and it runs right on the uphostery of my couch without a mousepad (it's better than optical). My old wireless keyboard, had the keys in all different places, and it seriously slowed me down. But I just wanted to type something on it, so here we are. I also love how this keyboard feels when you touch the keys.
This wireless keyboard works perfectly. It also has a very long range upwards of 20 feet, which is useful for people using a tv as a monitor.
