Fisher-Price I Can Play Guitar System Reviews
My son was frustrated at first but quickly caught on. I did buy a guitar hero for Christmas in 2006 and traded it in at a local retailer after a day of loud hard rock that I felt was not suitable for my then 6 year old. However, my son has learned so much and mastered the first cartridge. It is the parents responsibility to help match the level of the game to fit each child's individual learning needs.
This one is definitely more age appropriate. I am now looking to buy more. The system asks you if you want to go slower or faster to help the little learning hands set their own learning and playing pace.
I do suggest that parents offer assistance and sit close by the first few rounds to ensure their child understands how to speed up or slow down the game. I bought this for my 7 year old son at a local retailer on clearance.
I would definitely recommend this guitar. I am not personally opposed to the hard rock music but for a little one playing I didn't feel GH was appropriate for him yet. I was very wary at first because of the deeply discounted price.
I bought this for my 4 year old grandson. I'm very happy with this purchase. He loves it, because it's like Daddy's guitar hero. He can play it now, and according to my daughter, it will challenge him for quite some time.
It has held up very well. It could have been a great learning tool, but it was too much for him. He still loves it, just don't expect your child to become a virtuoso - he just enjoys banging around on it. Guitar Hero is more his skill level. My 9 year old son did not have the patience to watch and learn the notes.
A great toy for the price and playing with it simulates playing a real guitar. The TV mode is better for older kids but playing the guitar on its own is just as much fun. He hasn't put the toy down and I have definitely gotten my money's worth. I purchased this guitar for my four year old son who loves music and all instruments.
The product is good.
She's still playing it after a year and is pretty good at three finger combinations.
I wasn't about to buy a new guitar and lessons because I wasn't for sure of her interest level so we bought I can play Guitar.
I bought this guitar last Christmas for my daughter because she wanted a guitar.
The graphics are lacking for the technology we have, but it is a learning tool.
Unlike Guitar Hero she is actually learning real cords, so that is better the video game.
I would recommend this to other people but keep in mind that this will unlikely please a child who is dying to have guitar hero.
My daughter says that it isn't as fun as Guitar Hero, but she says that she actually knows the cords to play.
