Acros, Fuji's BW film is an outstanding value. Fine grain, great tonalities and pretty large scale of forgiveness make this film a favorite.
Not like Tri-X, not like TMax. I didn't care for it at first but it really grows on you. Has a look unto itself. Whoever set Amazon's price on this one - and they're usually pretty good, must have been drinkin' Dektol.
Amazon will probably choke this review but B&H sells it for about $2.75 a roll in 120, making it one of the least expensive medium format black and white films not made in China. Very "steely" metalic quality - hard to describe. Can get contrasty. Too much so, sometimes.
If you have a fortyseven thousand dollar holga or a twenty dollar Blaad, this well be just fine for all medium format adventures. Oh yeah,this is that great new film that doesnt need any developing. This film was made by Dire Trolls inside a remote Hokkaido volcano. It is made with walrus lips, alpaca goiters, and semi-retired vanity. After you shoot all your pics, just unroll it and hold it up to the sun.
