Game Boy Micro Black Reviews

I would certainly reccomend this to everyone who just wants to play GBA games on the go. but it's to be expected, coming so far into the GBA's lifespan. There are a few downsides to this, though: although it comes with customizable faceplates, the faceplates are very easy to break. Also, this device cannot play any of the older Game Boy titles, so keep that in mind if you love to play the older Game Boy games. Overall, it's an underrated console. Although it released at the end of the Game Boy's lifespan at the rise of the DS and DS Lite, this little system's still perfect for playing Game Boy Advance games on the go in an incredibly portable size.

Not only that; she loves it. V-smile does not make cartridges for children over 7-8 year olds and she is passed this level. I did not want to buy a brand new gameboy because of her age and buying a used one work out very well for the price. Only downfall is, I wish that the screen was a bit larger. Worried about her eyes. She loved to play with her v-smile until she mastered the games. I bought this for my six year old daughter who got really tired of her v-smile.

Waiting now it is very fun. When I heard about this handheld I was very skepticall. But when I got it my life changed. When I am in the bank waiting for my turn, when I am at the subway, when I am at the movies. I've had videogames for game boy advance since 2001, now I have about 30 games in storage, and with the game boy micro these games are alive again. I can't describe just how happy I am with this Game Boy Micro. The memories of the good ol'days are back also.

This is my first foray back into handheld platforms. This is a good pocket-sized system though. Oh well, you can't have everything. The only bummer is you can't plug it into your Gamecube. Too bad I got it within the past twelve months and they are discontinuing the GBA games. If you are looking to maybe "downsize" your GBA, pick this up.

From what I can tell, the most popular version of the Gameboy has been the SP. The Gameboy Micro is simply a mini version of the Gameboy Advance. Nothing is wasted; you have your basic command buttons and power/volume switches, and a plug-in for headphones. Other than that, I would recommend this one to any Gameboy fan. My only complaint is that sometimes the system feels almost TOO small in my hands. When they named it the "Micro" they hit the nail squarely on the head. Very simple, excellent quality, and a HUGE library of games to choose from. Nintendo has had tremendous success over the last 18 or so years with the Gameboy franchise.

The screen clarity is a perfect 10. If you are looking for the best graphics then I would buy a DS Lite. The Micro will play all GBA games but not Gameboy Color games. From what I have read, Nintendo was aiming to make the Gameboy a trendy "tech" item, one that would mirror the small design of today's mobile phone market. Unlike the SP version, this one does not "flip" open to reveal the screen. Games look amazing on this little guy, and the colors jump right off the screen.

The gaming public has seen many versions of the Gameboy released during this period, and once again Nintendo has put out yet another winner in this product line. Also, the battery life is extrememly long. It is very sleek in design but also very simple. In my opinion this a feature that is worth the price of the Micro alone. They pulled this off; the Micro is about the size of a cell phone. It is still, at the end of the day, a GBA.

As a result, many SP owners will be (rightfully) skeptical of the need to purchase a Micro since it is not an upgrade in terms of the games it plays. That is about it aside from the plug-in for the charger.
