Gauntlet: Dark Legacy Reviews
So I bought the PS2 version after moving. I enjoy this game mainly because 4 people can play together which makes it something the family can play together. I would recommend it. I very much enjoyed this game. It isn't super difficult to beat the boss monsters so it is more enjoyable. I used to play on the GameCube but when I moved I gave the game and system to my grandchildren.
;D getta copy and find out for yourself Their more powerful forms are fun too, but I won't tell what they are. My personal Favorites are the Wizard/Soceress and the Archer. 8 Basic and then 8 more that you have to unlock that are powerful forms of the first ones. I first played this at our truckstop arcade, after that when I found out they had it on the PS2 I went nuts, it's wonderful and if you have a multi-tap a damn good party game, while it's no longer 'printed' I love playing as often as possible with as many friends as I can, and if you each make a file name whenever everyones not around you can still power up YOUR character, there are a total of 16 warriors with male/female equals.
I don't play video games all that much as a mom. I enjoy playing this game with the kids and they enjoy it too. I got this game for Christmas 2 years ago, and I love it. This game has lots of levels, some of it is bizarre with lots of monsters to kill and hack away at. But every now and then, I need to sit down and lose myself in a good game and kill a bunch of monsters. If you like role playing where you get to kill a bunch of gross monsters, this is one for you. I was really bummed when I finally finished all the levels.
The only downsides are that the characters can be hard to control at times, and when you play with too many people, the screen gets very cramped and it is almost impossible get anywhere. It just isn't fun by yourself. But all in all, this is a great game to play with a bunch of friends. The action is intense at times, and with all of the hidden extras, the replay value is very high. Some of the highlights are the voices (which are absolutely comical) and the physical transformation of the characters as they increase in levels. First of all, you have to play this game with others.
They replaced it for us once, but there was still a charge - it's now available for sale at the same amount of money. This game is part of the reason I bought the PS2. We haven't put nearly the hours into this game that we did into the Final Fantasy games, Spy Hunter, or other favorites, but for some reason, this DVD keeps dying. I was always a Gauntlet addict, and I love being able to play with my son, wife, and friends. Unfortunately, I'm on my third copy of this game.
