Gauntlet Seven Sorrows Reviews
If you want a long in-depth RPG you'll want to look elsewhere, but if you're a casual old-school gamer like myself who only plays a few hours a week and still wants to beat a game, this is perfect. I occasionally have a few hours to spare on a weekend when I have a few friends over, and it's great to be able to play a game through and finish it before the night is done. After playing through the game on the easier difficulties we tried on the harder ones, and had just as much fun each time. I've been a fan of the Gauntlet series since 1986, so when I saw there was a new one I snatched it up. The way to be effective is to stick to the skills that work and avoid the ones that don't, and it would be nice if all of your skills were more useful.
We have yet to beat the game on the Impossible difficulty level because we run out of time. Many people have complained that the game was too short, but for me personally this is exactly what I wanted. We occasionally break out old NES games like Contra or Lifeforce for just that reason, it's refreshing to find that not all modern games require a huge time investment. Overall I really liked it. Seven Sorrows is really only Gauntlet in name, it only vaguely plays like previous games in the series, however in spite of that I found it very enjoyable.
My only complaint is that I found that certain skills just work better than others.
It's fun to play but if you're looking for a challenge, not a good game choice, it's very easy to beat, it only took me a couple of days. Not a bad game.
I purchased and it wasn't as bad as the reviews said it was.I did give it three stars only because the game seemed short.most gaunlet games are pretty long.however I still have fun playing this game.me and my three kids.they really enjoyed it.I am wondering if some of the people who played.played easy.or impossible.cause easy is very easy and maybe they should have tried impossible which was much harder.
The game is ok for a quick game. It is very short. Can be beaten in a day.
I would still buy it if you are a fan of the games but it is a little harder to adjust to if you are accustomed to Dark Legacy. This game is not as good as the previous version: Dark Legacy.
