Setting up the phone on this attractive and durable unit was easy--we didn't have to consult the manual for any of the features. The AM antenna is built in, and the AC power cord also functions as the FM antenna. AM and FM stations sounded clear even in a basement room and were easy to tune in with the discreet tuning dial. The green LCD display seems very bright in a darkened room but makes it easy to find the phone to answer nighttime calls. If you're prone to swat the Snooze button when your alarm sounds, you'll find the big oval Snooze easily reachable. Just be careful not to hit the Hour or Min buttons, as these will change the clock time. Pros:

Trying to discern the time or phone number at night or day in the prone position is virtually impossible due to the poor quality of the lighting display. Not me. Who wants to get up to read the time or phone number.
After I brought it back to the store for a replacement, the time was always wrong. Look for similar statements about other GE phones and take the advice not to buy a GE phone. Their products are full of glitches. This bedroom phone stopped displaying the Caller ID correctly the first time I bought it. It would show the right time when a call came in, but would get stuck there until the next call.
You can't read the display at all, so you never know what time it is. Don't waste your money on this item. until now The base is so light that when you answer the phone, the base comes along and falls off the nightstand. I always trusted that brand name. GE, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Also the delete for removing calls from caller id didn't consistantly work. The lcd screen was too bright and hard to read if lowered. Great idea but a terrible phone. It's impossible to read except if you are directly above the phone.
I love the caller ID/phone/alarm/clock combo idea.but I agree with the others, it's hard to read the LCD, it's annoyingly bright, it's too easy to reset the time, and my pet peeve: the phone HANDSET does not fit well/easily into the cradle.therefore it's too easy to bump off and it seems like always off the hook. Good idea that needs alot of redesign.
