GE 29460GE2 2-Line Business Speakerphone with Caller ID

With today's variety of communications options, sometimes a single line just isn't enough. For these times, a GE multi-line telephone makes the ideal switch hitter. This model includes a distinctive ring for each line, indicators to show which line is in use, electronic hold, and the complete list of standard GE phone features: multi-number memory, one-touch redial, ringer volume control and more.

GE's 29460 supports two-line operation and has a data port for fax, modem, or external answering device. Dual ringers indicate the line on which a call is coming, and conferencing capabilities let you talk to two parties at the same time. The phone stores up to 50 speed-dial numbers that you can quickly access with a shuttle dial. The 99-name-and-number caller ID tracks your missed calls, displayed on the backlit four-line LCD for easy reading and quick callback.

The speakerphone frees your hands for more important tasks, and the one-touch redial button is convenient when you've just remembered something important to tell a friend after hanging up. Separate volume controls for the handset, speakerphone, and ringer let you customize the proper audio levels, and the phone is wall mountable to help save desk space. GE offers a one-year limited warranty.

GE 29460GE2 2-Line Business Speakerphone with Caller ID Reviews

You could spend 5X and get much less. This phone is great and the price is perfect.

The headset jack is a huge plus when you are spending the day on the phone. We have been using this phone for about two months now and found that it is quite nice and reliable. Sound quality is a little off and there is definitely some bleed between line one and line two (you can sort of hear the other line if you listen really carefully) but functionally it is good.

I've had several other wired phones but I like this one the best. Speaker is fine but people have a hard time hearing me if I use handsfree. I like the quick dial bottons on the side, the large numbers and the fact that you can choose one of the two lines as the default one. I have wireless phones around the house but wanted a wired one to use for business.

The headset jack works nicely, if you have your own 2.5mm headset - but after completing a call, the phone defaults back to the handset, requring you to depress the "headset" button again before dialing. I eventually got it set up, and the speed dials work as designed. The screen is large, lighted and easy to read. The system for inputting speed dial entries is clumsy, and often kicked me back to the main screen before I was finished entering data.

The phone has two lines, but automatically defaults to "line 1" after each call, meaning making repeated calls from the same line requires pressing an extra button to return to line two. Lastly, the headset and handset volume can be adjusted during a call, but after hanging up, the phone defaults to the factory volume settings - again frustrating for multiple calls in a row. Overall, if you're a business user, strongly consider paying the $100+ it takes for a quality desk phone. Speakerphone quality is wanting.

The "message waiting" indicator light works nicely with my AT&T voicemail service to let me know I have a voicemail. Allow me to say, for the price, this phone is "as billed".

The phone is a piece of junk. This company shipped me 2 phones and both were defective and it was not even the same problem. Company gave me a FULL Refund for the phone and the shipping, so I am happy with the service, but I would NEVER buy a GE Phone. Each phone had a different problem.
