Works fine. Great price, great phone. Easy to program and use.
I purchased it because we needed a phone next to the toilet in our master bath. It really depends on how you are planning to use this phone. It is not a phone that is going to get much use in our home. I am happy with this phone. It serves it's purpose very well and looks nice on the wall. Secondly, it does not have call waiting caller id so you cannot tell who is calling you when you are on the phone. For our needs, it is fine. Two downfalls of this phone are that it's screen does not light up so sometimes it is difficult to see who is calling.
It is hard-wired into the phone with no connector. My wife bought one of these. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. The cord is so short it's so inconvenient you won't want to use the phone at all. The cord was only a few feet long and can't be replaced.
I am happy with this phone. Phone works well, ringer is great, and when you talk on it, it is very clear. It is an older type connection without the clip to change the cord. It is stylish and hangs well on the wall. I love the caller ID feature in plain sight when the phone rings. One thing to note, the cord is NOT interchangeable.
There are no lighted screens or keypads on this phone. Also, the Amazon description notes that the phone has a back-lit LCD. Overall the phone works and is nice and clear/loud. I called GE support and got the biggest run around ever.
DON'T BUY GE.The support is horrible. This is not true. When on the phone and another call comes in, it does not display the number/name. I purchased this phone because of the price and as it was going in my garage.
Low and behold I found that I could not put an extended cord on it from the handset as it did not have a modular plug. This is not true. Also, the box says the phone has call Waiting Caller ID.
