Ghostbusters: The Video Game Reviews

The story and voice work was entertaining. I enjoyed that they got the Ghostbuster actors to play the voices. I do have to say that the game was pretty dark and the levels all kind of looked the same. I was able to play til the end so it wasn't half bad. I would recommend it if you are a Ghostbuster fan.

I haven't completed Ghostbusters yet, but I haven't given up on it. I'm enjoying the story and the characters. The characters are spot on with the movies. They should be since the voice actors are actually the original actors from the movies.
The game-play is mostly action. I haven't come across any puzzles. I don't think there will be any since I'm about 4-5 hours in at this point. Aside from the action there is some "Easter egg" hunting for items.
The point of view is from over the shoulder most of the time, and first person when you are using PKE meter. That said the over the shoulder camera is somewhat handled in a way similar to first person. I mention that for anyone out there that gets the same nasty motion sickness headaches that I get from first person type cameras. This game will give you that same headache.
I have only played the single player mode at this point.
There is a multiplayer mode, but I have yet to try it.

I just got my PS3 a few months back and have been very selective in the games that I have played. I currently only own Madden 10, and the Uncharted 1 & 2 games. I normally play a lot of sports games however since I want to expand my gaming I turned to more shooter involved games such as Call of Duty and others. I also wanted to experience some fun in my game selection as I also own a Wii and feel those are the more goof-around games. As for Ghostbusters, I decided to rent this one as many people have recommended. I didn't feel as though I would play the game multiple times so why waste the money? Anyways, I think the game was decent on a game play scale, great on a movie relation scale, and not great at all for the replay value. I started out actually bored on the first level in the hotel but as you progress into the game it does get a bit more exciting. I would say the Stay Puft level was my favorite. I did play the game all the way through on the beginner level but even with assisted aim the other 2 difficulties were hard to handle your stream since it isn't like a bullet in other games which made it hard to see where you were actually aiming, since the glow and sparks concealed the smaller enemies. Also moving and turning wasn't the easiest either. As far as dodging the enemies your only real option is to run away, as there is no ducking or covering at all. As many others have said this is a decent rental and worth a one-time play but do not expect the game to keep you up playing all night long either. 5 stars? I don't think so...

This game was awesome! I wasnt expecting too much going into it beacuse usually movie based games are not that good. But this game was Fun, Funny and even a liitle spooky at parts! The graphics are A+! gorgeous game environments on par with the best of PS3 titles. The gameplay is just perfect, and it feels like youre part of the ghostbusters team. The voice acting is such a cool treat with all the original cast members in this game. It really feels like Ghostbusters Part 3, and not a video game! I had such a blast playing this game! I know you will too! have fun!

It was a Christmas gift. Who I got it for has really enjoyed the movie, and also because both where together.
