GPX PC308B Portable CD Player with 60 Second Anti-Skip Protection (Black) Reviews

i got these for my kids who are 6 & 9 and just getting into music. i thought these would be good for their first portable dvd players. they worked well for the first 2 wks then stopped working at almost the same time. since they were gifts i was greatly disappointed, but not as much as they were. next time i'll just spend the money on a better name brand.

Good-quality item. Ear buds don't really work all that well; recommend substituting earphones. Controls take some getting used to. Still, a worthwhile investment.

Did not work properly on arrival, but started to be OK after many tries. After a while ( about 2 CDs), started to skip tracks for no reasons, even on brand new CD (all of the CD were tried on other CD players to compare). Very annoying.

Got kind of sick and tired of it and threw it in the can...never again am I going to buy this brand...poor quality

Very nice is most areas except battery life and portability. Does not have an arm or belt strap so you have to put it in a bag or pocket while you walk. Battery seems to last Max 1 week.

Firstly I can't imagine anyone but me wanting one of these antiquated things. But if you do, find another. Upon inserting a CD and hitting the Play button, the device starts with the sound level at its maximum. You must start pressing the volume button immediately in order to protect your hearing. By the way, the buttons work, when they want to. You can actually hear the sound of the cd rotating round and round, or some strange noise caused by interference. Enough said? Great!
