Griffin 1093-CURV2 elevator/Computer Laptop Stand Reviews

The laptop fan doesn't go on as often. Remains cooler. Amazon has the best price and it comes nicely packed. I own two of these. It keeps me sitting up straight and lessens my fatigue. It travels well too, comes apart easily for stowing.

The Griffin is definitely my favorite although higher in price. This is a great product. I also own a Belkin which is built more solid from foam material and not as high.

Add in its very attractive design and you have a winner. I couldn't be more pleased with this item. It raises my Macbook Pro up so that my screen is eye level, and also keeps my battery cool.

I like it because I get a little desk space back, my neck likes it because I'm not looking down, and my computer likes it because it doesn't get hot as easily. I routinely reach up and do multitouch gestures on my MacBook Pro's trackpad - double-finger scrolling especially - quite comfortably. Also, do not let the product shots fool you: it does not come with a computer. If your table isn't steady, it does have a tendency to wobble forward and backward a little bit, and same if you try to type on it. I have read concerns of the laptop slipping down off the rubber pads, and indeed there's not a terrible lot of resistance, but mine does not move, and I don't think it ever will. One might wonder whether the people making the other complaints handled the rubber pads (or the computer) with greasy hands before setting the computer down. Now, if you were thinking it might actually come to life at midnight and make you an espresso, you will be disappointed. But it's not too bad, especially if you're just gesturing or tapping on the trackpad.

I really love the Griffin Elevator. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. It lifts my 15 inch Apple MBP well off the desk. I have had it for about 3-4 weeks and I am really loving it.

The stand is sleek and convenient, but I have had the laptop slide off a few times (I use a 17" MacBook Pro). I definitely like the way the stand looks, but it is a bit pricey considering how simple a piece of "equipment" it is. Ask yourself if you wouldn't rather just stack up some books. The key is to position the laptop on the stand with about an inch of the grippy pad on the top sticking out, so the weight is distributed onto the back of the stand more evenly.
