When you have speakers installed in separate rooms, but connected to the main stereo receiver, nothing is more frustrating than running back and forth between rooms to control the volume. This inconvenience disappears with the HFWVC. Install the volume control knob in every room you have speakers and -- voila! -- the volume of each room is at your fingertips. Whether you're turning the sound up or down, the knob is a 10-position, light-touch switch that offers a smooth volume change. The complete kit includes the mounting ring, standard or decora wall plates, and wire nuts for a quick, professional installation.

Don't risk it buying from these guys, you're just wasting your time. Great service when they just wipe an order away as if it never happened. I ordered this a few weeks ago, order went through, item described as in-stock. a few days later they cancel my order and give no excuse or anything. The order doesn't even show up in my amazon order history.
Using five of these with five sets of built-in speakers connected to a media center with a 900 Watt Yamaha amp on low setting highly recommend this volume control. Easy install with wall cutout plate for easy mounting no outlet box required can be installed easily in drywall.
These work really well and install in a matter of just a few minutes, I put three in my house and they look great and work great.
Very pleased with this product. Only thing is that for some reason, my boxes do not sit super tight to the wall. Nice and modern design. Great in-wall speaker volume control. I have it installed just next to the light switches, and this box sticks out slightly further than the adjacent electrical cover plates.
