I couldn't tell it from a print from One-Hour Photo. Clear, bright colors and very fast drying. I now print several discs every day and it is so easy. A sample pack of heavy photo paper was included and I lost one of the three due to a subject's head being cut off.
By the third day, I had printed over 40 and each time I improved until It was just another task. I just moved it down a bit and voila. It only took a short time to understand the workings and I printed a couple of DVD's the first night. I found it in the D5460, and then some.
My sincere thanks to Amazon.com and to the seller. I was looking for a replacement for my older HP Photosmart printer, specifically one with CD/DVD direct print capability. The print quality and dry time are excellent. I am very happy with the product, the price and the service.
Loaded smoothly on Ibook, OS 10.3.9. No usb cable with machine. Software for printing labels is poor but it works. Standalone pix printout from.
Only works on dvd/cd tray for OS 10.4+, no go on 10.3.9. Five ink cartridges, we'll see how long they last. DiscLabel. Fast and beautiful print out on regular paper.

The software said I was out of colored ink but I am still printing. The only complaint is the the ink gauge - it doesn't work.
I have printed 20 photos and some labels and still going strong. There seems to be no way to tell the actual ink levels - even a reasonable close estimate.
Instead of trowing away the printer, you can replace the head if it becomes clogged. This Photosmart Printer is the best.
It makes pictures so good you won't believe they came from an inkjet printer. Another plus is the replaceable printhead.
It also prints in color on CDs/DVDs - a real plus.
Picked this up for its cd/dvd printing capability and it works great with my Mac. I use a program for the mac called DiscLabel and it is compatible with this printer. Printed some photos and DVD covers too and they all turned out great. Awesome little addition for my business. I also did not have to use the included HP software to print to dvd.
Great Job HP. The picture quality is WOW. This is the best printer I have ever owned. The disk printing is truly cool and is not sloppy like the Epson printer. I usually never buy anything but HP we bought an Epson for the disk printing it sucked. I would recommended to everyone It looks like they were processed at a professional store when you us the hp advanced paper which is a dollar more then the regular. We returned it and bought the HP D5460 it's amazing.
