This printer has very good color quality. She says it is the best one she has ever used. My sister used to print pictures with it.
This is the second HP7450 Photosmart inkjet printer I have in use, neither have presented any problems and will keep using both until I can't find ink.
Out of the box it printed like the cartridges were out of ink. The only way print outs are legible is if you print with best quality and heavy ink selected. This is inexcusable given today's technology. It has NEVER printed correctly. I've purchased two sets of new ink cartridges and it still prints extremely faded pages. I've been using HP printers forever, but this one is a real disappointment.
This is an excellent printer when it works. #4 is doing a good job. #1 was DOA. #2 worked for a while. I have had four of them so far. #3 was DOA.
I contacted HP again but this time my warranty is up as they only honor the original purchase date, not the replacement. I worked with HP on this for a long while when they sent me a "refurbished printer" to replace mine. I am hesitating buying another HP but what other printer is out there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRINTER AS I BELIEVE THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE MANUFACTURING OF IT AND THEN THE CUSTOMER IS STUCK.
I was happy for 2 1/2 months. So, I'm stuck with quite a few ink cartridges (2 of each) and no printer. I had this printer just short of 1 yr and I loved it. Then this new printer began doing EXACTLY the same thing - it alternates between paper jammed and cartridges stuck.
It began saying the paper was jammed as it would only take the paper in half way. Totally loved it.
