I bought the battery later at Amazon not sure if it was the right one. I bought the new HP Photosmart A716 printer to be able to print pictures any where I traveled. Really nice battery for the price. It was and it works great, charges fast right in the printer and prints out beautiful pictures.
Only been using for a few weeks, but I have gone through my ink before the battery has needed recharging.
I will update how many photos I can print on one charge shortly. I haven't used it yet but if you have a newer HP (600 - 700 series)printer and your wondering if this is compatible - it is. It took about 1 hour to charge the battery initially. It costs more on the HP website than it does here and I don't think any stores carry it.
Need to update products. I think that the charge does not last as long as it should. The Battery was made in 2005. It was supposed to last for about 80 picture. Not even close. I hope it is the last. This is the first bad product I have purchased. I printed about 25 30 picture on 1 charge.
The packing and box all state this battery is for Series 300 and 400 printers, but it works great in my AHP 516 printer. A good but, in my opinion. It is good for 75 pictures, but I printed over 10 before it quit.
