HP ScanJet G3010 (L1985A#B1H) Reviews
I have Windows Vista, a laptop with 2 gig memory and I just purchased the G3010 scanner to see if it could do what i wanted. Hp apparently updated software for Vista. I was very surprised that it worked great with no problems for what I wanted it for. I did not test other functions but scanning to jpeg worked perfectly and you can scan more than one photo at a time. I really love the quality of the scan and price. I have many old photographs that needed to be scanned to include them in a web album. In the box you get 3 disks and one is for windows Vista operating system.
I am running Windows Vista Home, and after inserting the disk that was shipped with the scanner I was up and running. I bought this scanner a few months ago, and have not been disappointed. No problems with the Windows drivers as some have mentioned.
The only bad thing I can say is that sometimes I don't get a full bed scan. I get excellent copies. It worked beautifully the first time. I would recommend this product. I had read reviews to not buy it for Vista but I didn't have any problems at all. Very easy to set up and I was using it immediately. When I received this scanner I hooked it up to Windows Vista. It seems to be after I have rescanned the item at a different resolution.
After entering program, could not use because it could not be initialized so after several hours of total frustration including time with an HP agent, sent it bak for refund. aare they all like this. not a friendly scanner.
Can't ask for more than that. I followed the hook up directions (after reading them through once). Scanner is working perfectly. Scanner arrived timely.
