I would purchase a reconditioned screen again. There are some minor scratches on the plastic but the screen is perfect as is the display. I ordered this reconditioned wide screen flat panel monitor and it was as advertised.

I love mine. Many adjusments. Easy to set the perfect position. The shinny surface is easy to clean. Even with the volume set at the maximum, the volume is never loud enough. The only flaw is the weak speakers.
After much research, I purchased this monitor. If that wasn't bad enough, you cannot balance both the darks and the lights. The worse are type TN, which will only ever give you just 6-bit color262,144 colors. I made the mistake of not thoroughly researching the differences between types of LCD displays. As could be expected from a TN monitor, all the adjustments I made never got the color fidelity to be more than bad. For pure game playing, this monitor might be acceptable (though even there, I didn't particularly like it) but is dreadful otherwise.
The colors were washed out and varied widely across the screen. The HP w2007 is a TN monitor and it shows. Various blending tricks are done to create the illusion that there are more colors, but fidelity is necessarily compromised. The most color accurate displays are S-IPS followed by S-PVA.
This monitor is excellent, exceeds my expectation. It's worth to buy. Built in speaker is so good.
