My only complaint is that the dock pins are fragile - after not quite a year of use, one of the dock pins broke off as my daughter was wiggling her iPod off. Of course now she can't use it for her iPod, so I'll have to buy her another. The quality of sound is great, especially considering the price. This is a nice bedside clock radio/iPod dock - so nice, in fact, that I wound up buying one for each of my three daughters. The other two have been fine.
The buttons and controls are almost intuitive enough to use without looking at it(in the dark), but only if you have memorized it pretty well first. cons: variable light display - it is nice to be able to adjust the light of the clock at night, however if you want it to be always dark at night and only want to check the time by hitting the snooze button for the light, you have to go through all of the gradations up to bright and back down again to get it dim or dark. pros: Great sound from a small player, charges ipod and has "other" mp3 player jack, good radio, good alarm clock, variable light display. Overall I really like this alarm clock/ipod player. This has been a big peeve of mine.
If you are not sure about it go for it you will not be disappointed. I love my ihome. It is exactly what I wanted.
I love this system. You can either wake up to the radio or the ipod. I'm glad my daughter picked it out to give to me as a gift. You can select a song to wake up to on your ipod.
Got here just under the wire though. Great product, but delay in shipping had me worried about timely arrival.
