manager argued with me about the functions of my original remote. That has amazing sound. It was just that they didn't make that remote anymore. I called the customer service line and I was sent another one. The bass is, well, nonexistant.
Sure it's cute and trendy to look at. The iLuv does an okay job playing music. I feel like I got taken. Well not so great when they sent the wrong remote. But it really doesn't do as well of a job as I expected for about $200 dollars. Then the C.S. It just sits on my bookshelf collecting dust.
Instead I use my speaker system on my computer. I was finally able to speak with someone in the Tech Dept and he comfirmed what I'd been saying to the other manager. That was cool. I'll tell you what, I will NEVER buy another Item with the iLuv brand. But I don't love the iLuv. I'm still looking for something else, though.
But he did have an extra on hand and sent it to me no charge. Great, you say. I hardly ever use it.
That manager told me that I was wrong and that the broken remote I was holding IN MY HAND, while talking to her, didn't exist. Too much drama and hype about a product that does NOT deliver. For that price I shouldn't HAVE to add an external subwoofer.
I am very disappointed with this product. So the remote to this system didn't work. (I bought the iLuv right after they came out late 2006/2007).
Other than the shrew in Customer Service that I had to deal with, all was okay. The only thing I should have to add to this product is my iPod.
your call My wife was very unhappy with the product. CD player hung all the time like old CD players do after a while. I had the feeling the product was refurbished before I opened it :) However, after using it for a day I needed to return it in order to save my marriage.
Great deal for the money. Remote and iPod charger work fine. Slightly bigger than I thought with the detached speakers. Functionality, sound and controls all as advertised.
Very nice. The bass is a little weak. Compact, yet elegant. Uses it as an alarm clock and soothing music to fall asleep to. But an exteranl subwoofer can be attached.
