Other than the shrew in Customer Service that I had to deal with, all was okay. The iLuv does an okay job playing music. I hardly ever use it. I'm still looking for something else, though. So the remote to this system didn't work. (I bought the iLuv right after they came out late 2006/2007). I feel like I got taken. Too much drama and hype about a product that does NOT deliver.
I'll tell you what, I will NEVER buy another Item with the iLuv brand. It just sits on my bookshelf collecting dust. Sure it's cute and trendy to look at. Instead I use my speaker system on my computer. Then the C.S. I called the customer service line and I was sent another one.
It was just that they didn't make that remote anymore. For that price I shouldn't HAVE to add an external subwoofer. I am very disappointed with this product. Great, you say. That manager told me that I was wrong and that the broken remote I was holding IN MY HAND, while talking to her, didn't exist.
I was finally able to speak with someone in the Tech Dept and he comfirmed what I'd been saying to the other manager. manager argued with me about the functions of my original remote. But it really doesn't do as well of a job as I expected for about $200 dollars. The only thing I should have to add to this product is my iPod. But I don't love the iLuv.
The bass is, well, nonexistant. Well not so great when they sent the wrong remote. That has amazing sound. But he did have an extra on hand and sent it to me no charge.
That was cool.
My wife was very unhappy with the product. I had the feeling the product was refurbished before I opened it :) However, after using it for a day I needed to return it in order to save my marriage. CD player hung all the time like old CD players do after a while. your call
Slightly bigger than I thought with the detached speakers. Remote and iPod charger work fine. Great deal for the money. Functionality, sound and controls all as advertised.
Compact, yet elegant. But an exteranl subwoofer can be attached. Uses it as an alarm clock and soothing music to fall asleep to. Very nice. The bass is a little weak.
