But he did have an extra on hand and sent it to me no charge. manager argued with me about the functions of my original remote. I was finally able to speak with someone in the Tech Dept and he comfirmed what I'd been saying to the other manager. That was cool. I'm still looking for something else, though. (I bought the iLuv right after they came out late 2006/2007). For that price I shouldn't HAVE to add an external subwoofer.
I'll tell you what, I will NEVER buy another Item with the iLuv brand. So the remote to this system didn't work. Too much drama and hype about a product that does NOT deliver. I feel like I got taken.
Great, you say. But I don't love the iLuv. Sure it's cute and trendy to look at. Instead I use my speaker system on my computer. I am very disappointed with this product. The only thing I should have to add to this product is my iPod.
I called the customer service line and I was sent another one. It just sits on my bookshelf collecting dust. Then the C.S. Other than the shrew in Customer Service that I had to deal with, all was okay. But it really doesn't do as well of a job as I expected for about $200 dollars.
That manager told me that I was wrong and that the broken remote I was holding IN MY HAND, while talking to her, didn't exist. Well not so great when they sent the wrong remote. It was just that they didn't make that remote anymore. That has amazing sound. I hardly ever use it. The iLuv does an okay job playing music.
The bass is, well, nonexistant.
your call My wife was very unhappy with the product. I had the feeling the product was refurbished before I opened it :) However, after using it for a day I needed to return it in order to save my marriage. CD player hung all the time like old CD players do after a while.
Functionality, sound and controls all as advertised. Remote and iPod charger work fine. Slightly bigger than I thought with the detached speakers. Great deal for the money.
The bass is a little weak. Uses it as an alarm clock and soothing music to fall asleep to. Very nice. Compact, yet elegant. But an exteranl subwoofer can be attached.
