Intermatic PR3C Three-in-One Emergency Power Failure Light Reviews
My cost for four of these was less than the cost of just two similar items at Target. I bought four and all worked fine right out of the box. I'd give 5 stars except the night light is a waste - very dim, useless to the point of wasting electricity (can't imagine it uses much, though).
I'm disappointed because that's what I bought it for. What a ripoff. Complete junk. basically what you're buying is a night light. And I can't just throw them out due to the rechargeable batteries inside - will have to see how to dispose of them properly. I've had this things plugged in for three days straight and there's no flashlight at all.
However, I figured for ten bucks I could pick up this little gem as a little insurance. For my application, that's perfect. It probably won't help you get around at night.
Now I just need to go blow a fuse. As noted, the "nightlight" isn't anything more than a pilot light. I don't really need to illuminate my tools for would-be thieves.
I have a small home workshop and, as anyone who has worked with power tools can tell you, that means I blow my fair share of fuses. However, I hooked it up to my lights, which are non-grounded, and it works perfect. Luckily, I had only done so during the day, when I could easily navigate to the breaker box.
My only complaint is that is uses a polarized, non-grounded plug, which meant I couldn't use it as a pass-through for any tools.
Good product at a reasonable price. This is a great safety feature that far exceeds the usefulness of battery-operated lights. I shopped many different lights and, based on the reviews that I read, I chose three of these lights for our house and two for my 95+ year old mother's house where she lives alone.
Worked, I knew that it was a low cost emergency light, however after 2 weeks it began to short out, and not work at all. I wouldnt buy again, but I got what i paid for. Then it eventually just quit. I tried to take it apart to look for the failure but did not find anything disconnected, so I am not even sure why it stopped working.
