Jaton Wincom 56k V92 Pci Intel/Ambient with Voice/Caller ID
WinCOMM v.92 is based on the Intel/Ambient MD5628 D-L-C chipset with V.34 FastPath platform, a host accelerated modem solution that combines and optimizes the best features from software and hardware modems. The result is a platform with low power requirements and high performance. The FastPath platform's scalability allows the graceful addition of computer telephony features such as speakerphone, and telephone emulation. WinCOMM v.92 supports all requirements for PC-based communications. With the robust host-based controller software and powerful DSP, the modem supports all industry-standard AT commands for data, IS-101 voice, and Class 1 fax. With many advanced features already built in, WinCOMM v.92 is a versatile platform for future development that can leverage the latest progress in CPU technology. Thus, new features and unique hybrid products can deliver superior performance less expensively than ever before. And users can easily upgrade to the newest communication technology by downloading and installing software upgrades directly from the manufacturer's Internet site.Three new features offered by V.92 mode are QC (Quick Connect), MOH (Modem-on-hold) and 48 kbps speed upload; these well-developed countenances make connect times up to 50% faster and also allow you to put your data connection on hold for your incoming call if you have the Call-Waiting service from telephone company.

Jaton Wincom 56k V92 Pci Intel/Ambient with Voice/Caller ID Reviews
We use super voice pro 6 for a fax on demand system and these modems work just fine
Neither worked with Phone Tray Free. I'm still trying to find a non-ambient Caller ID/Voice PCI modem. This must be a WinModem type of modem. Maybe the Jaton modem didn't recognize my Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2. I went back to my US Robotics 56K V.90 Faxmodem, Model 5687 bought back in 1998, which doesn't have Voice but does recognize Caller ID in this particular software. I bought it to use with Phone Tray Free, which requires a modem with Caller ID and Voice capabilities.
