JWIN JXC-D780 Personal CD Player & Am/fm Radio with 60 Second Asp Reviews
I missed that in the product description, if it was there. I never imagined it would still have the dial tune function. This kind of product is on it's way out, unfortunately,as I like the combo of the AM with the FM and the CD player. VERY DISAPPOINTING. The radio is not digital, but an old dial in mechanism. Not very durable, either.
The booklet has no explanation of what is wrong. This was perfect and just the right size until it just quit working. A CD player with built in speakers is hard to find. I am so disappointed, and I know it would be more trouble than it is worth to try to return it. In fact the booklet doesn't even describe what three of the buttons are, or what the little screen words indicate.
So I sent it back for a refund (I all ready had a personal CD player that I had to use headphones with). The speakers built in to the CD Player are very quiet and low quality (I could barely even hear the music and watt I did hear was crackly).
While they aren't good - that wasn't a concern for a preschooler. So for me this is a very disappointing product and, in fact, I am avoiding JWIN products all together while shopping for another CD player because maybe it speaks to the durability of their other products. I bought this unit for my son for christmas. I usually find that when things are ripped up online they aren't so bad - but this time it was written up as a much better product than what I actually felt I received. But after changing out the batteries the display still just kept flashing it's usual parentheses and no buttons on the top or sides rectified the situation.
So only had it been exposed to gentle use. We managed to work with this and reserved using this CD player only for long trips and plane rides. The only thing people had mentioned was the quality of the headphones being poor. It was dead the CD spinning but no sound was coming out.
It still looks brand new. The anti-skip protection seemed to always have issues for us even though my son always sat down using this whether on the floor or in the car (often the car wasn't even moving yet).
This unit had been used maybe ten or twelve times total and never had my son even stood up or walked with it. I thought the external speakers would be good for him since he didn't really understand CD players but he faired well with the headphones anyway.
So here we are in July preparing for a family trip when I thought the unit just needed new batteries. He loved it but really didn't understand how it worked.
Maybe I got a lemon. Now I had many other issues.
I had read the reviews on here before buying this player and felt it would be a good first time investment for my son - but I guess everyone has different experiences.
The buttons are so small that they can be pressed only with a fingernail, and the PLAY and Stop buttons are virtually on top of each other. My player would not run on batteries the day after I got it. I returned the player for a refund. Aside from having to keep track of the silly battery cap, the AC socket is too small and tight to accomodate a normal power adapter without forcing it in.
