The Kaito KA2031 Digital PLL Synthesized portable radio provides the most accurate drift-free tuning of all available radio stations for listening to radio talk and music shows on the AM/FM bands, plus audio from TV channels 2-13, as well as up to the minute weather from your local Weather Band broadcasts. With direct digit-entry operation and 10 direct keys for memory presets, this radio allows quick access to your favorite stations. There are twenty presets, 10 stations for AM and 10 for the FM. One important feature of the KA2031 is the sleep/wake-up timer. With this feature, it is possible to not only have the radio turn off after a selected amount of time (10-90 minutes), but also to have the radio turn on at a preset time. This four-band radio picks up FM, AM, TV and weather channels. FM frequencies range between 88 and 108 MHz while AM frequencies range from 520 to 1710 kHz. You will pick up TV VHF channels 2-13 and weather channels 1-7. Unlike some other radios with NOAA weather receptions, the KA2031 is pre-programmed with all 7 channels, from 1-7, so no more guess work when tuning in.You can listen to the radio via the speaker, or through optional headphones via the headphone jack.Whether through the built-in ferrite bar antenna or the telescopic FM, TV and weather antenna, you are sure to receive the best possible reception.

Kaito KA2031 AM/FM TV NOAA Wearther Radio with Alert & Sleep/Wake-up Timer Reviews
Perfect for our camper trailer. Arrived quickly and works for exactly what we needed it for. Nice radio. Thanks.
-Lots of features (Alarm, Sleep, Light) to name a few. -On AM lots of Frequency Bleed (3 khz in some cases). -FM reception even worse I just get a few stations (Local & distant switch does nothing on either AM or FM). I recently purchased this radio & saw that it had favorable reviews.
-NOA weather alert ok. -Sound quality just ok. -Very well constructed. -Don't care about the TV band.
-AM recpetion not very good, average at best for this sized radio. To sum it up,I was a little disapointed, but for 31 dollars (shipping included) it's an ok radio. My impressions are as follows: . Now for the Good:.
The presets allow her to switch channels effortlessly. JT And for a small device, the sound is quite good. I bought this radio for an elderly person with poor sight.
There is a 'digital' second hand that is on the clock constantly and I wonder if this is the cause of the drain. I just returned the radio and will continue to search for a good portable clock radio. In 3 1/2 weeks, I had to replace the batteries twice and the radio was used about 5 hours per week. This little radio has many good features and good sound but the one problem I encountered was an abnormally fast burn rate of the batteries.
Consider it if you want a bit of an upgrade from this Kaito. The Eton E100 uses only 2AA batteries and has some really nice features. UNFORTUNATELY, the radio I received was apparently defective - at least I would guess that was the problem with it as no other buyers have mentioned abnormal battery consumption. I think Amazon is a great place to shop and I do so often. It doesn't have NOAA but it does have SW and living in AZ, that may prove more useful to me, since we rarely have huge weather problems.
Since the Kaito didn't work and I had the refund, I read reviews, shopped around and found a very nice Eton/Grundig E100 for a few dollars more. The one I rec'd went through two sets of batteries after only 6 hours of actual play time and 4 or 5 days had elapsed. I also use it to get opinions from actual users before buying a product. I read Amazon's return policy and did return it asking for a replacement but instead got a refund from Amazon. This radio seemed to be exactly what I was looking for and at a price that matched my occasional use.
