Kensington 33169 Digital FM Radio and Transmitter for iPods Reviews
I bought it 1 year ago and it had $40 cashback but till now I havn't receive the cashback.
After using this Kensington model, I don't know why they even make other kinds. I do wish it could charge my iPod, but for the simplicity and ease of being wireless I don't mind giving that up. (I use it driving from Central Texas to Louisiana and back - not a short trip, with a lot of radio stations in between). I bought this transmitter two years ago after getting frustrated with a bulky cradle transmitter that had to plug into my cig lighter. It works fabulously. In my experience it "holds on" to blank channels a lot longer than other transmitters, so I have to switch channels less. No wires, no cradles; just snap it on, find a static channel, and I'm done.
It took a few attempts to make it work, and when it finally did, the reception was quite poor. Get a better one. You get what you pay for. However, after 3 weeks it stopped transmitting and became useless.
It gets a little too static-y for music sometimes. If I hold it on my lap it is better for some reason but I think this can be a little unsafe while driving. This was a great product and at a great price. It is hard to find empty stations and I am still not sure that the search function works. It is perfect for listening to spoken word/audio books/podcasts though.
This was perfect, if you do not plug in when you are not using it, it do not use a lot of battery, the problem is if is plugit even the car is turn of.
