Otherwise, the pouch is easy to seal and does it's job well. We ended up just tying the cord. This was great for keeping items dry while visiting mexico during rainy season. We could never get the clamp back on again. I ended up inserting scissors and carefully cutting it in half to get it out. We will definetely use it on future trips.
My biggest problem was getting the cord on the pouch. You are supposed to remove the small clamp at the end of the cord and then reattach it once you have looped the cord. This leaves the pouch a little bulky. As another reviewer mentioned, the instruction card that comes in the pouch is nearly impossible to remove.
It seemed to work fine. It's pretty basic construction so I was confident it would hold together. I purchased this for a trip to the Dominican Republic. It's not that big so you can only hold some money, an id or two and your key minus the ring (our hotel had a real key).
I researched all of the little dry paks that amazon was selling and this one seemed to get good reviews and wasn't the most expensive one there was. Nothing got wet. I would definitely recommend this product. So we received it and tried it out at a water park and it was true to it's word.
It is so tightly inserted that you can tear or stretch the pack by accident. Perfect for holding a bunch of $$ bills, credit card, safe key & room key. Try folding the cardboard inside the pack to make it easier to remove. Spent considerable time swimming & snorkeling and used this pack all the time.
One word of caution. Worked like a charm. Aside from that, I was pleased overall.
When you receive your pack in the mail, there is a piece of cardboard inside each pack. Purchased this Kwik Tek Dry pak to use on a trip to Dominican Republic. Stuffed it in a velcro pocket of my swimming trunks and off I went.
We rent dune buggies each year and get into some messy places and some river crossings. These little dry paks were the ticket and all inside stayed bone dry. Our previous years we would put our money and small items in a zip lock bag and they still got soaked. My wife and I just returned from Mexico a couple days ago. I even wore my in the pool with pesos inside and the handy little dry pak kept my pesos dry.
