I bought this as a gift for my mother and she loves it. It has large numbers and keeps the temperature as well. She's never has a problem with it since. It's very portable and can sit anywhere or be hung on the wall. Great clock.
She can look at this clock and know what day of the week it is. It's also helpful that the clock resets itself for daylight savings/standard time changes. This has been a huge help in taking her medication, which is in a pill box with compartments for each day of the week. I bought this for my aunt, who has memory problems.
I will buy another next time I order from amazon. This clock is nice, easy to read, easy to set, and all automatic.
I was surprised it turned around this quick. BTW it doesn't hurt to read the manual. After adding two AA batteries, I just changed the timezone to -8PST, waited 5-10 minutes (around 7:40pm), and saw the correct time / date / day-of-week displayed. which says the first digit won't fully display when choosing the 24hr display mode (default is 12hr mode), and that you can see seconds if you toggle the 2nd row of display to date / second / temperature.
The only downside, if it can be said so, is that the LCD panel after initial battery power up looked "imperfect", with some tiny threads of coloring at the right side. Also by default DST is ON, but can be set to OFF. The clock works and requires minimal setup. After I was done setting the timezone, the problem disappeared.
I guess I should have read the dimensions. Big for my desk at work but perfect for the kitchen.
