The La Crosse Technology WT-5720U projection alarm clock is ideal anytime absolute accuracy is paramount. The clock, which can project the time onto a wall or ceiling from 3 to 10 feet away, receives its signal from the atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado, ensuring that it will never be off by even a few seconds. The included alarm employs an adjustable snooze, in addition to running on either 12- or 24-hour time mode. The clock also displays the date (month, date, year, and day) and the indoor temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The projection feature is a real plus, as it's versatile and flexible, with a rotating option for proper viewing and an adjustable intensity level. Use it at home for variety, or during a business meeting to keep everyone on task. When operating on the AC adapter, the clock can project time constantly. However, when using the battery, the clock projects the time for three seconds each time you press the button. --Rivers Janssen

La Crosse Technology WT-5720U Projection Alarm Clock with Indoor Temperature Reviews
simple. cheap. fantastic. I wish it came in a blue projection rather than red though.
Everyone should own a projection alarm clock. I'd better start taking it with me when I'm out of town. I absolutely love being able to peek at the ceiling during the night to see what time it is. The laser read-out is plenty bright during the night, but gets hard to read once the sun starts to come up. When I stay at a hotel now I am constantly scanning the ceiling trying to see what time it is. Two alarms is very nice, and it's atomic so it's always correct.
I had the Oregon Scientific RM313PNA Self-Setting Projection Clock. I should have just bought the Oregon Scientific one again through Amazon. 2) can not tell time. So I bought it. I had it for 10 years and it worked perfectly.
I set the clock manually, and after only 2 hours it was 15 minutes off. This thing sucks. Mistake. After 6 hours it was about an hour off. It broke, and frys only carries THIS clock now.
The coolest part is that you can aim the projector, but what use is that, if it projects the wrong time. I left it plugged in for 2 days an it never told the correct time. The La Crosse 1) does not come with directions, and is nearly useless without them.
Instructions are hard to figure out and no matter what I do I can't make it quit switching time when I travel from one state to the other. I tried putting it in the proper mode but it won't stay there.
If you can't see it in the day time, look at he front of the clock (which can also be lit by LEDs by pushing any one button). For a $20.00 alarm clock, I think it's a fantastic value. Yes, the buttons are not the sturdiest, but I believe that the need to use them often is negated by the fact it is radio-controlled. Second objective was to be large enough for day-to-day use but also useable for travelling this one does it. My first objective was to find an alarm clock with a programmable snooze this one's got it. The projection feature works great for me it's razor sharp and even at it's lowest setting very clear. You set the alarm and display preference once and you walk away.
