It is great for meetings, movies, and music. The B-flex will make up for the poor speakers on your laptop.
I adjust the volume on Windows or the application I'm using. obviously it would be great if this little speaker was as loud and bass heavy as my big desktop speakers, but in all fairness, that's not the point of this product. I travel frequently with a small laptop and the built-in sound is just terrible. Conclusion:. I have been using it with DVDs, MP3s, YouTube, and my flash presentations. - looks cool.
- USB fit is good and you can bend the flex cable to any position to really direct the sound right toward you. - you have to adjust the volume of your application to optimize the sound. Here's my take on the B-Flex:. I sometimes make business presentations from the laptop and my clients can barely hear them. everyone complements me on it and asks about it. PROS:. - incredibly compact and portable. no complaints on the sound.
Like most careful shoppers, I read all of the B-Flex reviews on Amazon and other sites before purchasing this product. CONS:. great little product. it's an ultra compact speaker that does its job amazingly well. you may have to lower the volume slightly for maximum clarity, but that is pretty much the same on all speakers. I definitely had a need for a portable USB speaker. so, I decided to give this little guy a try. UPDATE 11/10/08: I recommended this product to my company and the IT department bought 500 of them.
I feel like I have a mini home theater in my hotel room bed. if you need a portable speaker and don't want to fuss with wires, batteries, or a power adapter, this little gadget is a steal at $40 and the sound is really great. people use them in their cubicles, for presentations, even office parties. not one complaint so far.
I also like to watch DVDs and listen to music in hotel rooms. now the B-Flex is everywhere and has kind of become part of the company culture. it's pretty funny. - the sound is impressively loud and the quality is surprisingly good.
when you're watching a DVD and the THX intro comes on, it's actually pretty sharp and amazing. it is automatically recognized by my Windows Vista and plays without a problem. - plug-and-play.
One day, my friend Sumit found it for me from Amazon, and I bought it. They did not know where they bought it from, and I kept looking for this at every small/big computer accessories store, but could not find it. I saw this at a Sony showroom in Singapore while I was travelling there on my honemoon trip. Thanks Amazon and thanks b-Flex, I love this product. I loved this product, but it was not for sale there. It is so convenient and works great.
They arrived today (13 days after I ordered them)., but I believe it was worth the wait. I was terribly disappointed with the lousy sound on my new laptop. Do not hesitate to order if you hate that tinny sound on your laptop. so I searched Amazon for speakers. Fabulous. I agree with another reviewer that if you're an audiophile these might not be for you, but I was truly amazed at the difference.
Sure the sound is not studio quality. However, it greatly surpasses computer built-in speakers and now makes listening to music at my desk enjoyable rather than a chore. This is one cool device. Those writing negative reviews: get real. I read the luke warm and negative reviews for this speaker but ordered one anyway. For the price, you can't really go wrong.
