LEGO Batman Reviews
-If you can, GET A SECOND PERSON TO PLAY THIS WITH YOU. -GET A GUIDE. To HELP you instead of HARM you. True example.
For example, when I change into a toxin-resistant character to pass a pile of poison, you expect your partner to file suit, right. But, as usual, PC is the LAST priority for gaming publishers and it shows on this game. WRONG. But, I ran this game on my new computer: A Core 2 Duo with 2GB of memory and a 512MB Nvidia GeForce 8000. Happened to me on one of the Joker stages. Half the time, you won't be able to figure it out unless you are directed. It runs faster like this and less bugs occur. After all, it can run on a 1Ghz Pentium III with only 256MB of memory and a DVD drive.
The PC controls are horrible. Yet still, a game that should run flawlessly on my system somehow.doesn't. Lego Batman is a very fun game. Isn't that the point of a partner. -GET A CONTROLLER. The computer is so DUMB,(especially during Free Play mode) that you NEED an actual PERSON to play. Also, the AI is dumber than dirt and 7/10 times the computer DAMPERS your progress instead of HELPING it.
While the other versions play near flawlessly, this game doesn't. The game IS fun, and I have it beaten near 100%, but sometimes you need to adjust your graphical settings and make them LOWER in order to pass certain levels. It is probably the best in the "Lego(insert franchise here)" series. I can't knock it too much. -Keep your display at 800x600 and turn all graphical options off(Shadows, bloom, etc). Great replay value, but a terrible translation of a sure fire winner. A couple words of advice:. So, all in all, a great game.
Especially during the Penguin boss fight for the heroes. After all, it's one of those few games for people with an older system to still be able to enjoy modern games instead of the same stuff released a while ago. I have a computer like that in my basement. He just stands there running in circles like an idiot. I should be able to get sucked into a game, not to stop and pause to change my settings.
If you've played any of the previous Lego-based games, you should already know what to expect here, as Lego Batman offers up plenty of funny and comical moments supplemented with tons of unlockables and bonus characters to boot. Still, with the hordes of unlockables to find that will hold your attention and keep you playing for a while. Lego Batman features everything that was enjoyable with the aforementioned games, and slaps the Batman license on it to boot. The game looks good and even offers Danny Elfman's classic Batman theme, rounding out the presentation.
Playing as the Caped Crusader and his sidekick Robin, you traverse a Lego-fied Gotham City and take on the usual rogues gallery of baddies. All in all, Lego Batman is a fun and family friendly diversion that anyone can enjoy and easily pick up and play. Fans of the Batman comics will be happy to see plenty of familiar faces: Joker, Nightwing, Batgirl, Hush, Bane, and plenty more are all here for your amusement. You'd figure that with two Lego Star Wars games and Lego Indiana Jones already under their belts, Travelers Tales' Lego games would be getting kind of stale. Well, you'd figure wrong.
The only downsides to Lego Batman are the same flaws that were apparent in previous Lego games: the difficulty is simple to say the least, and the game isn't that long at all.
What I should have done is spent the extra money for the xbox copy. I bought this because I love Batman and I loved the Lego Star Wars games, so I thought I couldn't go wrong. The PC version is so full of bugs, it even prevents me from completing some levels. They should have done more testing on this version.
Updated and packed with action. I think that this game is great for any LEGO lover, and Batman lover . I would recommend this, even though the system requirements say you can run this software on a older computer, that does not mean that the computer will lag and freeze. I recommend that you have a 3.0 Processor and 1.5 gig of Ram. The features of LEGO Batman. This game is the best game for the Lego franchise. I'm only age 14, but even so this game is suitable for all ages ( Not meaning the ESRB rating) I mean how fun it is.
I liked the original concept, and Ive liked every version since. Its just a great light hearted game thats both fun and will make you laugh as it pokes a little fun at the original movie its portraying.
